Overview

The Pyxis HM-900 is a professional-grade portable fluorometer used for measuring oil concentration in water using UV fluorescence. It is capable of detecting various petroleum-based oils such as marine crude oil, diesel/kerosene, and heavy fuel oil. The device supports both direct measurement and solvent extraction methods, allowing flexibility based on sample type and field conditions.

It features dual-wavelength UV LED technology (365 nm excitation and multiple emission channels) with automatic range selection for improved accuracy. The instrument includes pre-programmed calibration curves for common oil types, and it also allows users to create custom calibration curves for specific applications.

The HM-900 is widely used in environmental monitoring, industrial wastewater analysis, marine discharge monitoring, and leak detection in systems such as heat exchangers and storage tanks. Its portability, battery operation, and wireless data handling (via uPyxis software) make it highly practical for on-site testing.
